Dear *|FNAME|*

Happy New Year to you  :-). I have been reflecting back on life in 2019 and am over -whelmed with gratitude. On New Year's day, I got up, and, first thing, had a long deep meditative cleansing shower to wake up my senses. Then I rolled my yoga mat out and meditated. I saw a wonderful vision and you were part of it. The vision was of the people in this world experiencing more peace, health & happiness. We can set ourselves up to attract our desires in the coming year. Start 2020 in a powerful way with self-care.

"When you recover or discover something that nourishes your soul & brings joy, care enough about yourself to make room for it in your life."

                                                                    ~Jean Shinoda Bolen

Self-care? How?
I am sure you've experienced some form of guilt around taking time out for yourself. If so, this post is for you. And if you've ever said, "I don't have time for self-care" or " my work is more important than self-care", this post is for you too.

Time is a factor. But the biggest hurdle to overcome here is your mindset around self-care. So many people said they feel guilty if they "indulge" in self-care. There was a theme of feeling like we "should" be filling our time with work instead of self-care. Creating content that comes from an unfocused, burnt out, lethargic state will never compare to work that comes from a place of inner alignment. If you don't take time to take care of your health, the quality, consistency, and creativity of your work will cease to exist. And when you feel good, you'll give off a joy that will elevate everyone around you.

Here are some ideas about self-care to nourish your mind body & soul:
1.)  This is my favorite. Massage.
Massage clear stagnation, opens key acupressure points,
boosts the immune system and invigorates your energy. As a
form of self love & healing. Massage is a wonderful way to
integrate your mind body & spirit. Check out all the different
      massages HERE.

2.) Facials (Nourish your skin).
Taking care of your skin is an important part of self-care. Not
only does it help your complexion, a skin care ritual can allow
you time to relax and unwind at the end of the day.

3.) Meditation.
Quieting your mind is so important for reducing stress, whether
it's writing all your thoughts on paper before bed or meditating in the morning,      make it a priority to quiet your mind at least once a day.
4.) Yoga.
Embrace slow movement. Sometimes our bodies crave slow
movement, like yoga or going for a walk, often we get into the
mindset that we have to sweat during a workout to make it
worth it. Instead, be OK with taking it slow and not feeling the
need to "sweat" every time you workout.
5.) Get more sleep.
Sleep is one of the biggest factors in our energy levels
throughout the day. I have been lenient with my bedtime
schedule, but I want to make sure I'm getting a solid 8 hours
    sleep.
6.) Give yourself permission to relax.
It's hard right? But it's so important to value your downtime and
take advantage of it when you can. Make sure you are
maintaining a good balance between productivity and rest.
7.) Make time for self-reflection.
Self-reflection is so important for our personal growth. It can be
tricky to find the motivation to journal, but it's worth to let go of
the thoughts floating around in your head. Self-reflection helps
you explore who you are and creates more space for positive
     thinking.

The lists of self-care is endless. Above are the ones I give priority in my life.

CREATIVE YIN YANG FLOW YOGA WORKSHOP
WITH CICELY CHAN
Let's create a MANDALA art on the mat in this 4 hours yoga workshop. Being lifted up on the wings of love & peace. Create a mandala for peace through your asana practice by weaving together the postures with your breath in a circular flow around the mat, Meditate on creating peace from within and let it come to life through your practice in form and colour.

This practice will strengthen you, especially the dynamic yang yoga flow sequence and gentle yin flow which help to free up the body, mind and spirit through opening up the energetic pathways on our bodies.

Both yin & yang qualities are essential to our living nature, health, and well-being. I will guide you and support you in your practice into a deeper place, beyond muscles and bones. A place of calm, peace, strength & ease, to tap into our true nature of being. And to bring more clarity, healing, awareness, and flexibility in your body & mind.
Let's create a peace mandala together on the mat.
